Summer always reminds me of fresh fruit and herbs, backyard parties, and cold beverages. These ice cubes are the perfect companion to any beverage. These are super simple to make but will bring your cocktails; alcoholic or non-alcoholic, to the next level.

Supplies

Your favorite fruit:

Raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, oranges, etc.

Your favorite herbs:

Rosemary, lemon thyme, lavender, etc.

Your base liquid:

Water, lemonade, sour mix, etc.

(If making sour mix, you will need 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 6 lemons, and 3 limes)

Ice Tray - Amazon

Sun Tea Jar - Ikea

Sour Mix Recipe

My base liquid was a homeade sour mix.

For the sour mix you will need:

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

1 cup lemon juice

1/4 cup lime juice

Combine the sugar and water in a pan at medium heat until the sugar dissolves and let cool.

Pour the mix into a mason jar or something similar.

Add the lemon juice and lime juice to the mason jar and shake.

I decided to strain mine because there was some seeds that got into the mix but it is up to you how you want our mix.

Place one of your crafted cubes into your favorite glass, add your favorite beverage, and stir. As the the ice begins to melt, more and more flavor is infused. I like to add these to some homeade sun tea because the sour mix creates a similar taste as an "Arnold Palmer" and the herbs and fruit give it that little extra kick that you cant quite place. Now kick back, put on some tunes, and take in that nice summer breeze with your newly refreshing cocktail. Cheers!

Pairings:

Sun Tea

Fill container with water

Add several tea bags according to package

Place outside in 80-90 degree sun for 3-5 hours

Gin and Tonic

1 oz Hendricks Gin

4 oz Tonic

Bourbon

2 oz Buffalo Trace bourbon

2 oz St. Germain Elderflower liquor

Teaspoon of Honey

4 Dashes of Angosturra Bitters
