Cottage Slipper Socks

These looked so warm and inviting on the Wool-Ease Thick and Quick package that I had to make them. They're Lion Brand's Cottage Slipper Socks and I used the color Pine. They work up super fast with a size N/9 hook and are super warm as well! However, I found my feet/legs to be smaller than what the pattern called for even though I am a size 9-11 for socks. I checked my gauge as well and they're a little loose, but nothing to keep me from wearing them! I made my second sock slightly smaller and it's still a little loose but it's all good. I found that I used every piece of yarn out of the two balls required, so my advice is to buy three, because I really cut it close and even omitted a few rows so I would not have to run out and buy more yarn. Unless you want your socks a little shorter, buy two balls, because the third one you would still be using very little of. Another suggestion is to make the cuff smaller, because that was the loosest part of the socks. I'd suggest about 9 inches or less instead of 12 because the ribbed cuff is EXTREMELY stretchy. But this pattern was great! My feet are always cold and I need slippers constantly, and I always rip them and need new ones. This project was cheap and fast, so my bare feet were covered immediately!
