Cut Out the Crown Shapes

Cut out 2 of the yellow crowns and 1 of the black crowns from the cardstock. You can use the provided shapes for scale, the yellow crowns need to be smaller than the black crown. The size I used for the black crown was 3.5 inches.

If you have a cutting machine such as a Cricut then you can upload these shapes to whichever design software you use and cut them out that way.

Attach the Front of the Crown Together

Use the double-sided craft tape to attach one of the yellow crowns to the black crown, making sure to leave an even border of black around the yellow. This will be the front of the crown.

Attach Wire to Back of Crown

Cut an 8-inch piece of floral wire.

Fold the wire in half as in the picture.

Attach wire to the back of the black crown using hot glue.

Use the double-sided craft tape to attach the second yellow crown onto the back of the black crown, covering the wire.

Attach Crown to Headband

Wrap the wire around the headband, leaving about half an inch of wire sticking up to create the floating crown look.
