Tools:
Electrical multi-tool
No. 1 Phillips Screwdriver
8mm tool
Measuring tool
Optional Tools:
Ferrule crimping tool
Electrical Wire Cutters
Install the Binding Posts:
Install the red side of the binding post in line with the + on the side of the case. I have attached a picture for a stackup reference. At this point I would recommend installing to the first nut.
Install Battery Terminals and Wires
You will need to cut qty 2, 4" sections of wire. I would recommend separating the wire ~1" on each side and stripping off ~1/2".
Then add the ring terminals and the ferrules to the ends.
Insert the ferrules on the 5mm ring connector wire into the Out L +/- of the power supply. Insert the ferrules on the 3mm ring connector wire into the In V +/- of the power supply.
Insert Power Supply Into 3D Printed Case
The power supply will press fit into the case.
Connecting the Internals
Install the 5mm ring connectors onto the binding posts using the 8mm tool. Also using the remaining washers, lock washers, and nuts left from the stackup shown previously.
To connect the blade terminals you will need the blade contacts, screws and the 3mm ring connectors.
Stackup recommendation: case, blade contact, ring terminal, screw.
Reminder to match the red wire with the + marking on the side of the case. There is a screw access hole in the case to allow for assembly.
ENJOY!
Clip in your 20V DeWalt battery and enjoy your adjustable power supply without being tied to a power outlet.
