I love this famous company's chicken sandwich ....so I decided I would make my own and they are delicious, affordable, and will please the chicken lovers in your life.

Brine Your Breasts

First thing is first. You will need 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut in half, this will make four sandwiches. You can pound them down or butterfly them if you want. I did a combo of both just for even cooking time, but if they aren't super thick you don't need to hassle with it. Place your prepared chicken pieces into a dish and cover with pickle brine, the stuff left over in the jars is all you need. Let brine at least one hour or up to 12 hours.

Breading Station

After your breast be brined, make your flour mixture by combining 1 cup of AP flour, 1.5 T confectioner's sugar,1 packet of chicken ramen flavor packet (I know it sounds weird but trust me, use that little silver pack of flavor), 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp white pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp paprika, mix well set aside. Place one egg, 1/2 cup of milk, and a few dashes cayenne hot sauce in a container (I like to use plastic storage containers) and whip well. Set up your station as I have above in the image. Using tongs or a fork remove the chicken from brine, place in egg mixture, and then flour mixture until coated well. You can double dredge them if you have the time. After each piece is properly coated place in the fridge for a few minutes while you get your oil hot to make sure the breading stays where it needs to.

Fry Them Suckers

Place two cups of peanut oil in a small sauce pan, heat over high till shimmering. Place one piece of chicken in the hot oil, and cook 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Place on a rack to drain of excess oil. Finish cooking the other breasts. Let them sit while you prepare your buns.

Get Them Buns Son

Toast four hamburger buns in a few tsp of butter until golden. Place a few pickle chips on each bun top with chicken and enjoy the pure pleasure of the chicken sandwich without the politics. Easy, delicious, progressive! I served our with frozen waffle fries. Delish!
