Copycat Almond Joy

How to Make Copycat Almond Joys

In this instructable, I will show you how to make copycat almond joy bars.

Ingredients

1 14 oz bag of sweetened coconut flakes

1 16 oz bag of chocolate candy melts

1/2 c powdered sugar

21 almonds

4 tbsp corn syrup

4 tbsp melted butter

Mixing:

In your electric mixer, combine the coconut flakes, powdered sugar, butter and corn syrup on low speed.

Baking Dish:

Cover a baking dish with wax paper. Scoop approximately 2 tbsp of the coconut mixture and mold into candy bar shapes and place in the dish.

What's the Joy Without the Almond Bit?

Top each bar with an almond.

Chill! (go Watch Netflix or Something)

Place the dish in the refrigerator for an hour.

Chocolate Coating:

Melt your chocolate following the instructions on the package.

Dipping:

After the chocolate is melted, dip each bar into the chocolate, coating all over.

Place on wax paper to cool.
