Hey everybody, in this instructable I am going to show you how to make a secret compartment in an old cooking spray can. You can hid money, jewelry, and other secret items in plain sight!
The total cost of this project is 0$-assuming you have the house items listed below:
Cooking spray can (empty if possible)
Glue gun or gorilla glue
Strong small magnets
Sand paper
Pliers
Small narrow spice jar
Can opener
Goggles
Paper towels
Safely gloves

Cutting the Can

This step can be messy if you couldn't find an empty cooking spray can. Make sure you are wearing goggles and gloves-the metal is sharp.

Over a tub, use the can opener to puncture the can at the very bottom towards the "seam" at the end of the can. The pressure in the can will be released and maybe some olive oil. Continue cutting around until the bottom falls off. Using soap and water clean this and the inside of the can.

Use the pliers to straighten the edges of the can.

Glue the Pieces

Using sand paper, sand the cut off piece if the can and the top of the spice jar. Using the glue, glue the two pieces together, keeping the lid centered on the cut off piece like shown in the picture. Let dry completely.

Magnets!

Using gorilla glue, glue the magnets to the inside of the can near the edge. This will prevent the jar from sliding out.

Reinsert the jar into the can and place anywhere. You can store your treasures safely inside without worrying! Please vote for my instructables if you liked it and leave suggestions in the comments!
