Cookie Dough Truffles!

There is something SO fun about baking and making around the Holidays!
Maybe it's because it's colder and baking warms the house up...
Maybe it's those childhood memories...
Maybe it's the wonderful scents of the season...
Maybe it's just time for caloric overload?

Whatever the reason,
It's my favorite part of the season!
(see what I did there?)

These Cookie Dough Truffles are NO Bake!
We had them finished in 20 minutes.  Even my kids were astounded!
It took me more than 20 minutes to photograph them...but prep is a breeze!

Ingredients!

Okay,
cookie dough truffles.

I admit it...I eat cookie dough raw.
always have.  always will.
But this recipe omits eggs and leavening,
so it's perfect to eat as is!

Mix in:
1/2 cup of butter
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour
pinch of salt.

After mixed and dough like,
add 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips.

Taste it...cookie dough!
now to turn it into truffles!

You'll need 8 oz of melting chocolate...

Additional recipe:
Replace the 1/2 cup butter with 1/2 cup peanut butter.
Replace the 3/4 cup brown sugar with 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Peanut butter cookie dough bites are the bomb too!

Truffle Time!

Roll out dough into balls.  Usually makes 24-30...depends on size of ball.
Set on cookie sheet.
Place in the fridge for about 10 minutes so dough holds it's shape

Melt 8 oz. of melting chocolate or quick candy coating.
Dunk the balls in, remove them and place back onto the tray.

Add sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.

Let them cool and harden.
That's right, no bake!

Enjoy!

These would look great on a cookie plate for neighbor gifts!

I've taken them to several pot luck events this month and they've been wiped out completely at each party!
And I've written out the recipe a few times for people too!
And I take them on a paper plate in a cupcake carrying tote from the Dollar Tree--Or for parties at my place,
I keep them on this adorable ceramic egg tray and some cake stands!

These are perfect for kids to make too--no worries about baking.
Enjoy Holiday baking without the oven!
