Cookie Dough Dessert Pizza
This Cookie Dough Dessert Pizza is made from homemade dough and tastes like warm chocolate chip cookies. It's great to serve at parties or with family! (It would be dangerous to eat this much sugary goodness all yourself)
The process of making this pizza consists of combining a few different recipes together into a delicious masterpiece. Each step in this instructable contains the ingredients you'll need for that step.
Most of the supplies you will need are common baking ingredients. Some less common ingredients you might not have on hand are:
- quick oats
- cream cheese
- chocolate chips
- chocolate sauce
- caramel sauce
Making the Pizza Dough
- 1 C warm water
- 1 T sugar
- 2 tsp yeast
- 2 1/2 C flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 2 T oil
Add sugar and dry yeast to warm water and agitate it with a spoon. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes to activate the yeast. In the bowl of a mixer, add flour and salt. Then add the yeast mixture and begin kneading with a dough hook. Immediately add the egg and oil while the dough begins to come together. Knead with the dough hook on low for 5-7 minutes. The dough should pull away from the sides of the bowl.
Grease a separate large bowl and place your rounded dough in it. Cover and let rest for 1 hour. Then turn the dough out onto a floured surface, knead a couple times, round the dough, and cover and let rest another 30 minutes.
Making the Cookie Dough
- 1/2 C butter, softened
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 C quick oats
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 C flour
- 1 C chocolate chips
Cream together butter and sugars in mixing bowl with paddle attachment. Add egg and vanilla and mix until incorporated. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients to mixing bowl and mix on low until just combined - don't over mix. Stir in chocolate chips. Form dough into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap and store in refrigerator until needed later.
Making the Crumble Topping
- 1/2 C flour
- 1/4 C sugar
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1/3 C butter
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Add all ingredients into a small mixing bowl. Use a pastry blender to cut the butter into the dry ingredients. Set aside for later use.
Making the Cream Cheese Icing
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 T butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 C powdered sugar
- milk, as needed
Cream together the butter and cream cheese in the mixer with the whip attachment. Add vanilla and lemon juice and mix until incorporated. Add powdered sugar and mix - starting slow and increasing speed as icing comes together. Add in milk a little at a time until the consistency of the icing is good for drizzling. Scoop the icing into a Ziploc bag and cut the corner when ready to drizzle for an easy icing bag.
Assemble and Bake
After your pizza dough has gone through both of its rises, spread it out on a pizza pan. Poke the dough all over with a fork to prevent large air bubbles. Crumble the cookie dough all over the surface of the pizza then sprinkle the crumble topping over all of it. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Drizzle the Sauces
After removing the pizza from the oven, drizzle chocolate sauce in a spiral pattern. Then drizzle caramel in a spiral between the the chocolate sauce spiral. Finally, drizzle the cream cheese icing back and forth over the whole pizza.
Your Cookie Dough Dessert Pizza is now ready to slice and serve!
