Converting Scribbles to Art

You can use this technique on any bit of scribble to create a wonderful looking art piece!
Step 1: Joining
![0.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FHW/OYPM/I4J74166/FHWOYPMI4J74166.png&filename=0.png)
![1.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FK3/7JQY/I4J7416W/FK37JQYI4J7416W.png&filename=1.png)
The first thing I did was start off with scribbles then found two scribbles close to each other and joined them. Once joined i went over them to make the lines thicker leaving no gaps.
Step 2: Filling Spaces (patterns)
![2.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FQS/QJ35/I4J7417M/FQSQJ35I4J7417M.png&filename=2.png)
The next thing I did once I joined the lines to create a shape was filling the blank space inside the shape. To fill it in and make it look good I chose a straight line pattern where the shape bends.
Step 3: Adding More Shapes
![3.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FI3/JXAK/I4J7418Y/FI3JXAKI4J7418Y.png&filename=3.png)
Once the first shape was completed I then moved down to the next shape I could create using the scribbles and also adding my own lines to join them with.
Step 4: Attaching Lines/curves
![5.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FYP/5YNH/I4J743HD/FYP5YNHI4J743HD.png&filename=5.png)
Now two shapes had been created so I went on to create the third one but wanted to attach a line to shape one.
Step 5: Filling in and Continuing Lines Between Shapes
![7.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FJ8/VKCE/I4J743S5/FJ8VKCEI4J743S5.png&filename=7.png)
When doodling sometimes you make mistake and lines/shapes don't look the way you wanted them to look,so the trick is to improvise. Here I didn't like how a part looked so i shaded it in and rounded lines up to make it look better than the first idea. Also behind shapes I continued lines to the other side and made them look similar so that people know the line had been continued and it is part of a shape but another shape is in the way.
Step 6: Be Imaginative

![9.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/F38/U4HE/I4J743WK/F38U4HEI4J743WK.png&filename=9.png)
When most of the page had been filled with shapes and it looked good but there was still a scribble left on its own I let my imagination help so I created another identical scribble on the opposite side and created wings to join them up and make them look good.
Step 7: Finished Doodling

Once I was happy with the doodling I had done to the scribbles I then imported it to my computer.
Step 8: Image Tracing
![Screen Shot 2015-01-06 at 22.01.21.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/F3S/CI2O/I4J75I7J/F3SCI2OI4J75I7J.png&filename=Screen Shot 2015-01-06 at 22.01.21.png)
Once i uploaded the image to my laptop,I then opened up Adobe Illustrator and opened the image. Then I clicked on the image and hit "Image Trace" at the top toolbar.
Step 9: Bringing the Design to Life!

Once the image was traced I then imported it into photoshop to add colour and nice border to make it stand out and look good!
Completed!
