Here is how to convert your bike to a cardboard motorcycle!

Supplies

You will need:

  • cardboard
  • craft knife
  • scissors (for fine cutting)
  • hot glue
  • hot glue gun
  • bike
  • tape measurer

The Gas Tank

Cut a shape like the one in the picture. It should be 10"x 13". The widest part should be 5" down from the top. If your shape looks lopsided that's ok, it will smooth out when you put the sides on. Cut a shape 1 1/2" smaller than the first. Make a 1 1/2" spacer that will separate the two pieces with the smaller piece on top of the larger piece. Then cover the sides with cardboard. This will be half of your gas tank. You will ad the other half on later.

The Rear Fender

Cut the shape like the one in the picture. It should be 16"x11". The widest point is 5" down from the top. With the new shape, repeat the steps you used on the gas tank to build the top and sides.

The Exhaust Pipe

Cut 2 circles 5" in diameter, then cut 3 rectangles 16" long 2" wide. Connect the rectangles to form a long triangle. This will be the inside of the exhaust pipe. Attach the circles to the ends of the triangle. Then wrap cereal box cardboard around the triangle in the same diameter as the end circles.

The Front Fender

Cut out a shape 9"wide x 8"long like the one in the picture. The curve starts 4 1/2" from the bottom. Cut half way through the cardboard. This will allow you to bend the cardboard. Cut a half circle that will fill the space at the bottom of the front fender.

Attaching

Attach the parts to the bike however you can, but this is how I did it. You can also add the bottom pieces to the gas tank. and add the exhaust enter and exit pipes.
