Containers Made Out of Recycled Things

How might I make a container that is made out of waste?

We are making a container made out of plastic waste. The use for the container is going to be to be used as a trashcan so we can take care of the environment. There are 2 different designs for the containers. One to hold plastic bags or small trash, and another one to hold trash that is bigger. By making these 2 designs, we hope to stop people from throwing trash on the ground and to take care of our environment.

We started off by interviewing some of our classmates who gave us ideas to start off our design. After getting out classmates to give us feedback, we were able to move on to the next step.

After receiving all the ideas from other people, we started to make a list of what they want, like, need, and don't like. After we have finished that, we make a question and a statement of what it is that they want/need and move on to the next step.

After we finished all the past phases, we are ready to enter the final phase before making the final design. We start off by making a sketch based off of what the people want. After we finish the sketch, we ask someone who we haven't asked for feedback and see what they have to say. After we believe we have made our final design, we can finally start making the design.

We started off by making a box which has some space inside of it. We decided the box was going to be made out of compressed plastic bags and have a shell outside the bag made out of hard plastic. The lid would also be made out of hard plastic. The container would be small enough to fit inside a bag but big enough to be able to hold many trash. The second design would be smaller and made to hold things like plastic bags. It would also be made out of the same materials.

After we have the body of the containers, we only have to make the lid to finish the design. The larger container has a removable lid made out of hard plastic. The smaller container has a circular lid which has a handle to pull out the lid which is also made out of hard plastic. With the lids complete, the design is finished.
