Construction of Lace Rosebud

We want to share the rosebud model that we like so much, among the point lace models.

Now we’re starting to explain how to make a bud flower. First of all we are making the branches and leaves. We’re making 6 giraffes, by wrapping the gimp through our finger like on the other flower expressions.

We’re knitting up 10 rows on our pipe and starting to make a leaf. We are knotting the gimp on the back at the 10th row of pipe and knitting up 4 rows by enhancing on the left and right side and, by making 3 giraffes in 2 giraffes over the 2 giraffe.

After knitting up 4 rows, the number becomes 7 as shown in the Picture and we’re continuing to decrease until there is only 1 giraffe. Also we are finishing the other leaf just like the same, by knitting 3 giraffes starting from 2 giraffes and increasing/decreasing on the same numbers and sizes.

So we finished our leaf.

Now we’re starting to make the bud. We’re creating 6 giraffes by wrapping the gimp above the finger.

We’re shrinking the gimp like that and rounding one more row of giraffe. After that we’re making the pipe by squeezing the giraffes.

We’re knitting up 8 rows on the pipe in here.

Then we’re making 1 more row again
by increasing and decreasing on the left and right side by making 4 giraffes over 2 giraffe. So the second row becomes 5 giraffes. On the 3rd row, we are making 3 more rows too by enhancing on the left, mid and right side and the number of giraffes become 11.

Then we’re continuing with decreasing process until there are 5 giraffes left and burning the gimp after cutting it.

We’re making the leaf in the same way with the same sizes and numbers.

After making the 3rd leaf of the bud in the same manner, the leaves are completed.

We are cutting other dark colored gimp a little bit longer and doubling up. Also the light colored gimp will be on our needle. Now we are rounding the sides.

Construction of Lace Rosebud

igne-oyasi-gonca-gul-yapimi-15.jpg

We’re deriving the dark colored gimp from the near and making a giraffe by tying a knot on the gimp. Also we’re rounding on the leaves by making a giraffe for each circle of the bud. So the dark colored gimp is placed in between.

We’re continuing with same process and finishing the leaves of other 2 bud by rounding it.

Yes, this is the finished form of it.

Now it is time to make the mid bud. It was generated by wrapping like this on the Picture which I used as a model, so I wanted to make the same model without changing it. I used the body of my lighter to get the same sizes of wrappings in here. As you see in the Picture, I wrapped the gimp as 10 rows and finished by tying a few knots under.

It is seen more clearly on this picture.

Then we’re pulling out the gimp, tidying a little bit via fingers and placing it into the bud.

So it becomes like that.

And now we’re placing it into the bud as in the picture. After cutting the white gimp, we’ll put the other gimp of the bud into the leaf by tying a knot under.

This is the fixed form of it in the leaf. So the process is finished. However, while putting the bud into the leaves, we’re molding the bud firmly after shaping it as nested, to keep its form.

It is seen more clearly in that picture.

I didn’t explain how to make that model.

It is made same with the pendant model. I also used its background model just like that. You can check the expressions that I explained previously. I just wanted to say that for friends who don’t know.
