Are you that person that always has pencils, pens and eraser’s lying everywhere, then I have the perfect solution for you, an easy compact desk organizer that you basically need to spend $0 for because it’s made out of cardboard and hot glue!

If you mess up on some of the steps don’t worry, trust me I messed up so many times, it’s really not a big deal, just do it again its cardboard.

Supplies

I’m willing to bet that you have most of these things lying around…

  • Ruler
  • cardboard
  • hot glue
  • X-Acto knife (if you don’t have one you can use scissors)
  • cutting mat (optional)
  • straight edged/Ruler (you use this to guide your X-Acto knife to make straight lines, as shown in the video)

If you want to make a handle for the draw you need……

  • one 2x5cm piece
  • one 10x1cm piece

You want to fold the 10x1cm piece in half like the first pic.

Then glue the 2x5cm piece in the front of your draw.

Lastly glue the folded piece of cardboard onto the 2x5cm piece of cardboard like the second picture.

WARNING:This step might seem confusing but if you get it it’s easy

First cut out a 30x13cm piece.

Next you want to make a line going downward for every 7cm, you should end up with 4 lines and a little extra piece.

Then you want to cut against the line but you only want to cut the liner board; You can see this in the first and second pictures.

Lastly take the extra little flap and fold it inside like the third picture. Then glue it down.

You can repeat this step as many times as you like, with different measurements depending on how big you want the compartment to be.

Glue It Together

For your last step you want to glue the piece you just made on top of the frame.

If you want you can paint it I painted some of the pieces for fun.
