Como Hacer Que Tus Fotos Destaquen En Tu Scrapbooking

En el scrapbooking hay un sólo propósito: contar una historia. Nos valemos de fotos y textos para inmortalizar nuestros recuerdos; las fotos siendo el eje central de nuestra hoja. Lograr que destaquen y llamen la atención de inmediato debe ser nuestra prioridad. Todo lo que utilicemos después de ahí son complementos y deben de corroborar con la foto de alguna manera. Aquí es donde entran los marcos. En este post les mostraremos una herramienta que simplificará el proceso de crear marcos y dará un toque sin igual a tus creaciones.

Perfect Layers es un nuevo producto que con solamente dos reglas nos permite hacerle marcos de diferentes tamaños a nuestras fotos y hasta nuestras tarjetas Project Life.

In scrapbooking there’s only one purpose: telling a story. We use photographs and texts to immortalize our memories; the pictures being the central focus of our sheet. Our priority should be achieving some form of immediate stand out from the pictures. Everything that we use after that are just complementary and should enhance and go with the picture in any way possible. This is where the frames come in handy. In this post we will show you a tool that will simplify the process of creating frames and will give a unique touch to your creations.

Perfect Layers is the new product that with just two rulers allows us to make frames of different sizes for our pictures and even our Project Life Cards.

En este proyecto solo necesitaras:

1. Bisturí o una tijera,
2. Regla
3. Foto
4. Plataforma de corte
5. Fotos preferidas
6. Papel

For this project you will only need:

Scalpel or scissors.

Ruler.

Picture.

Cutting platform.

Photography of your preference.

Paper.

El proceso es bien simple. En primer lugar pegamos la foto en la hoja que queremos usar como el primer borde. Debemos dejar un buen margen de las esquinas para poder cortar el marco con la regla sin que nos falte papel o que ella no se agarre bien a la foto por la esquina en cuestión. Para pegar la foto siempre recomendamos pegamento sin lignina, como pegamento en barra o glue dots.

The process is very simple. First, glue the photograph to the sheet that you want to use as the first frame. We have to leave a good margin on the corners to allow us to cut the frame with the ruler and have that paper be enough or allow the ruler not to attach to the picture in the same corner. We always recommend ligning-free glue for gluing, like glue sticks or glue dots.

Luego de pegar la foto, elegimos el tamaño del borde en la regla. En el combo vienen dos, cada una con diferentes tamaños (8 en total). Para mi primer marco elegí un tamaño pequeño, 1/8″. Todas las medidas son en pulgadas. Colocamos la regla de manera que el relieve seleccionado de abajo de la regla quede justo con el borde de la imagen. Recuerda utilizar el mismo relieve para todos los lados, dándole vuelta a la regla.

¡No olvides verificar que está alineada con la foto!

After gluing the photograph, we choose the size of the frame with the ruler. Within the package there are two, each one a different size from the other (8 overall). For the first frame I chose a small size, ⅛”. All measurements are in inches. Place the ruler in a way that the surface you have selected to put under the ruler is right on the border of the image. Remember to use the same surface for every side, turning the ruler around.

Do not forget to check that the picture is correctly aligned!

Corta con un bisturí por los cuatro bordes, dejando espacio para crear las esquinas cuando cortes el próximo. Haz cortes firmes y rápidos y mantén la regla en sitio con tu otra mano.

Si la regla no quiere quedarse, toma tu uña y levanta un poco el borde de la foto. Puedes hacerlo también con un hueso o con algo fino. La idea es que la foto cree un relieve.

Cut with a scalpel each of the four borders, leaving a space to create the corners when you cut the next one. Make firm and fast cuts and keep the ruler in place with your other hand.

If the ruler doesn’t stay in place, take your nail and lift up a little of the border of the photograph. You can also achieve that with a bone or something slender. The whole idea is that the photograph creates some kind of setoff.

Repite el proceso con las demás hojas que quieras utilizar, pegando el marco que creaste sobre nuevo papel. Recuerda el borde del marco será tu nuevo borde de referencia. Mix it up!

Repeat the process with the remaining sheets that you want to use, gluing the frame that you created over the new paper. Remember that the border of the frame will be the new border of reference.
