Commodore Evoke 2017 Silence the Alarm Nusiance.

When I drive down my driveway which is a track on a property , I start up . Alarm goes for door open . I reverse to the gate ,the alarm goes crazy because the grass is in the way. I open the door to open a gate and the alarm goes biong 4 times ,I drive through and get out to close the gate and the same 4 boings thing . I reverse to swing round and the reverse camera does not come on to help me just keeps blasting away alarms to tell me the grass is in the way.

I get going forward and I have a 300 meter drive to the front gate so once I go over 20 Kms/hr alarms for the seat belt start and do not stop until I plug the belt in. If I plug it in then the middle back seat alarm starts where the dog is sitting so I can stop and buckle him in or just wear it to the gate. I get out ,more alarms and have to turn the motor off. Open the gate drive through ,open the door to close the gate and it goes again . Close gate and get back in buckle up , kick the dog off the seat and away I go .

If I'm low on fuel an alarm , and my lights are always turned on chewing up fuel and my alternator belt etc. so lights off and if I am lucky that's when I get some music on the radio ...for a bit.

Who the hell designed these things?

Were they drugged up or something?

I think a lot of cars do the same thing aand distract drivers rather than assist them .

Anyway ,found a fix . Pull the radio fuse out. End of story ....Peace at last and really a pleasant drive with the dog and Mum and all.

If you want the best of both worlds put a broken fuse in like the picture with a good fuse and a switch as shown. Turn it on when you get on the highway for music and well ,what to do with the dog ?
