I started off by creating the main shape of the planter with a fit point spline. I then made it into the wall of the planter, by revolving it. I made the base of it with a simple circle, with holes for drainage. As a tray, I made a larger circle, to catch the water and hold the planter nicely. I then created a triangle on top, and made a bunch of them using the circular pattern function.
