Coke-lamp

Hi I've been here for a while but this is my first Instructable, so bare with me!!

I thought I could do something cool with a coke-bottle so I thought.. what about a lamp and here it is...

What you need:

- Soda-bottle (the older looking, the cooler)
- Soda-cap
- Sugar
- Two wires around 10-12 cm
- Two LEDs, with your choice of colour, (I used white ;))
- Two resistors, size depends on you supply voltage, since I want it bright and my supply voltage is 5 volts from USB, I used 120 ohm

Cleaning

first you clean the bottle with hot water.. quite easy...
just to get the last bit of coke out and removing the sticker if the bottle has one.

Making the Diffusion

I chose (because I was lazy) to use sugar and water to make the white diffusion of the light, by soaking the inner sides of the bottle with water and then letting the sugar stick to it. Another way might be to use some thin glue instead of water. Maybe just some water base glue, with extra water. That might make it last longer. Drying takes half a second, so on to next step.

Wireing

I started with making two holes in the cap for the two wires to stick up through. I just used a nail. I then soldered the two LEDs so they each their resistor, and and soldered them parallel on the two wires. The wires ends up in the cap.

Assembly

By putting the wires down the bottle and the cap on top, your lamp should be sort of finished. Since I've made a special universal USB power wire, which I use for power-supply for all of my other projects, I don't need to make a device for powering it, but there should be several of different power solutions on this site to pick from.
So enjoy.

Showoff

Now I've testet it with the glue and a red LED and I were to say it my self... It is quite nice.
