I've been giving piñatas to my loved ones for a long time, it's time to make a personalized piñata for a crocodile lover.

Supplies

Materials

- thin cardboard

- Light green, yellow and dark green "crepe" paper (the name depends on each country)

- thin white paper

- White and black EVA foam

- Glue (paste made of water and flour)

- Stapler and staples

* Lots of candy

Make the Structure Light As a Feather

For the structure of the piñata, I cut strips of thin cardboard (about an inch wide) and started by making a bean shape, and stapled them together to join the ends.

then I added another strip of thin cardboard a little shorter to make the thickness of the abdomen. For the crocodile face. I did more or less the same. Some horizontal and other vertical strips to achieve the structure. All strips are bracketed for added security. for the tail and arms I did the same.

Reinforce With Paper and Paste

2. To reinforce the structure I mixed some flour and water and heated it in the kitchen to make paste

And I paste strpes of very thin paper (like papier-mâché) to the entire cocodrile body

For the hands and legs, I glued a piece of black EVA rubber to make the claws.

I added a bent wire to hang the piñata later.

To wrap the piñata I used this type of paper that in my country is called "crepé paper"

I cut about 1.5-inch pieces, then cut strips without reaching the edge.

I started to wrap the limbs of the crocodile, from bottom to top, adding glue only to the top of the strips

After i wrapped the extremities, I glued the yellow part with yellow stripes at the abdomen and chin.

- then I filled in the missing parts with a lot of green paper, that took me a long time

For the details of the face I used two white soda caps, two EVA foam circles and a green cap cut in half for the nostrils, I also cut out many white EVA foam teeth and glued everything with a hot glue gun.

And I cut out the pieces of black EVA rubber, for the claws shapes.

And I added dark green parts to give it depth or texture at the tail and back

- I cut alittle hole on his back to put the candies

And Voila!
