Preheat oven to 300.

Separate egg yolk from egg white.

Beat for two minutes or until frothy.

Forming Stiff Peaks

IMG_6752.jpg

Add corn starch, sugar, and flavour extract of your choice.

Whip till it forms stiff peaks ( stiff peaks are when the eggs are smooth, glossy, and hold their shape when a whisk or beater are lifted.)

Separate Mixture

Separate mixture evenly into three bowls.

Add a different colour of food dye to each bowl.

Make sure to fold the mixture not mix, because it can deflate and lose its airiness.

Transfer Mixure to Pan

Place mixture on to the baking sheet with the parchment paper on the baking sheet.

Then starting with your lightest colour mold into a mound with your spatula.

Then add the next to the top and around the sides making sure to not mix up the colours.

Then add the next layer of colour.

I like to do lightest to darkest or darkest to lightest.

Bake

Place in the oven for 25-28 mins, or until the top is golden brown.

Turn off oven and leave cloud bread in oven till it is cool to the touch so that the bread does not deflate.

This is most likely the best thing I have made so far because it is so cheerful and bright. If I am ever in the kitchen and I am wondering what to bake, I make this and then add something new to it, like sprinkles or I use new/ more colours or different colours. And the fact that it tastes like a marshmallow.

I have also learned to NEVER open the oven while it is cooking because it can deflate and to make sure that no egg yolk gets in the egg white because it will make it flat and it won't whip, even the littlest bit will make it not work. Overall the recipe is very fun and creative and I will definitely keep making it.
