Cloud Light
hello~
i'm going to be showing you guys how to make a cloud light. it's cute and aesthetic, you can use it as room decor, a holder, or just a pencil stand. so let's get started!
Supplies
you're going to need
- a clear jar or cup
- fairy lights
- glue
- cotton balls or filling/fluff
Cleaning and Prepping
you're going to want to wipe the glass off, this will make the cotton and glue stay on longer. after cleaning the surface you will want to dry it off with a towel or a tissue. after doing this collect your cotton balls.
Gluing
rip the cotton balls into smaller pieces, and then start pressing the cotton balls onto the glass. make sure to cover any gaps and spread the cotton balls out to give it a more natural look. having the balls unripped and glued onto the glass will give the cloud an artificial look. start bottom to top and fill in any gaps in between.
More Gluing
this is what your bottom should start looking like, it's ok if the balls aren't ripped up enough because you can always go back and add more cotton on as a second layer. add more and more until the entire glass is covered with cotton balls. i suggest going back and adding cotton balls to a few places to give it a nicer look. once you finished making the glass let it sit for a while and then put the fairy lights in the jar. if you want you can put some cotton on top of the fairy lights for a better look.
Ta Da!~~
this is what your final product should look like you can also use this as a pencil stand or hang it up with some string. the second picture is with cotton balls on top so it looks like a full cloud. these work best in the night and you can use them for room decor or just hang them outside.
