Cloud Lamp DIY Easy, Cheap, and Fun!

For MakerSpace, I made a Cloud Lamp DIY! It is really easy to create and the products for the project is cheap! Sebastian Suzuki

Supplies

You would need:

  • Glue Gun
  • Polyester Cotton or any type of Cotton
  • LED Lights with adapter and tape
  • Fishing line
  • At least 2 Bamboo Lanterns
  • A good effort and enthusiasm!


Construct the Lantern

Step 1: Construct your lantern by opening it first, then add the lantern hanger and put the hanger inside the lantern to let it stay open.

Insert LED Lights

Step 2: Insert LED lights inside the lantern and use the sticky tape behind the LEDs to wrap it around the insides of the lantern. Easy!

Glue the Cotton on the Lantern

Step 3: Use the glue gun to glue the sides of the cotton and attach it to outside of the lantern. Do this repeatedly until you get cotton around the entirety of the lantern.

Step 4: Use the fishing line to add inside to the lantern. Do this by wrapping the line insides the lantern's metal rings. Tie the line together with double knots and cut off the extra line.

Cloud Lamp Conclusion

Step 5: Attach the wire to the outlet and connect the LED lights to the adapter. Hang the cloud with the fishing line on a nearby hook. Now that you hung the cloud, it is finished! Now control the LED's with the remote and choose any color for your Cloud Lamp!
