Clock Project

For this project you will need a piece of wood and a sander and a design for this project.

Supplies

Piece of wood, (I used Hickory.) Sander (Sanding the wood flat), Design (If you want to have a quote or photo on the wood.)

Step 1: Get a Piece of Wood

For my piece of wood I used a piece of Hickory that was a tree taken down by my dad's crew on a tree removal job.

Step 2: Sanding

I had to sand my hickory slab since it was un-even and had to be sanded. I used 100 grid for my piece of wood then switched down to 80.

Step 3: Wood Cracked

This is where I didn't like my project..My piece of wood cracked from it drying too fast.

Step 4: We Put This Glue Thingy on So It Would Stop Cracking

We put this type of like glue on the slabs so it would stop cracking. We put the glue stuff around the whole slab of wood. It did stop the crack.

Step 5: Laser Engraving the Design

The teacher put the piece of design on the slab of wood using the laser engraving machine.

Step 6: Clock Motor

When I was not in the school for a couple days the Teacher put the motor of the clock in the wood. shout-out to mr.b he's the goat for helping.

Step 7: Finished Clock Project.
