Parking tickets or receipts often get lost inside the car, causing problems when it comes to finding them quickly. This problem is common for many drivers who have difficulty organizing small but important items like tickets or receipts. Moreover, having easy access to essential cards can be incredibly convenient, reducing the need to rummage through pockets, bags or crowded glove compartments. With these challenges in mind, my project proposes a practical solution, a keychain wallet designed to keep parking tickets, receipts and cards in one safe and accessible place.

This wallet allows you to attach it to your car keys so you always have everything important at hand. Compact, lightweight and stylish, this accessory combines all your essentials, tickets, cards, keys and even money, into one handy item. Whether you’re heading to work, shopping or going about your daily activities, this product ensures you stay organized and efficient by keeping everything in one easy access place, all made with 3D printing.

Supplies

  1. 3D Printer
  2. Filament for printing
  3. Metal keychain
  4. Sandpaper (for finishing)

Once the sketch is defined, the next step is to create it in a program, in my case I used the CATIA program, starting with the basic shape of the design, paying attention to the measurements to ensure that standard bills and cards fit perfectly. Once the design was complete, the next step was to prepare the file for 3D printing. For this, I exported the design to .stl format to make it compatible with the 3D printer.

3D Printer Setup

Now, the file needs to be moved to a 3D printing software, I used the UltimakerCura software, set all the printing specifications, scale the size if necessary and save it for printing.

Printing the Product

Printing the wallet with a keychain: Select the file on the printer to see how long it would take and start the printing process. During printing, check that it is printing correctly.

Placing the Key Ring and Finishing Touches

Once the wallet was printed, I placed the key ring and sanded the edges to remove bad details and thus have a better finish and the product is finished.
