A familiar form in a new context. Clip Pin is a way to mount a clothes pin to something other than a clothes line.

Materials

You will need:

1 thin rubber band
1 large paper clip
1 spring type wooden clothespin
* 1 pair of needle nose pliers (optional)

Split the Clip

Pull the two nesting curves of the paper clip apart until they form a 90 degree angle.

Fit the Clip

Create another bend, this time a little tighter than 90 degrees to ensure a secure grip later on.

*The placement of this bend will be determined by the thickness of the material you want to clip onto. I fit mine to the front seat visor of my car, which happens to be 5/8" in thickness; I made another 1", to fit the thickness of my desk [ the bends are adjusted accordingly]. A paper thin material won't require any bend!

Fasten the paper clip [small side down] to the top of the clothespin with the rubber band, looping it around until it holds tight.

Clip onto the desired surface & attach whatever you see fit! The eyelet fit my pair of readers perfectly and doesn't even budge on the bumpy country roads near my  home. I also modified a version to clip onto my desk and hold my cell phone charger cable underneath. Feel free to share your own creative applications. Enjoy!
