This is a fish type monster that can store your cand in its mouth, make sure not to get too close though :). It is around 1 and 1/2 pounds. It is a mix of pink and blue and it pops in a room!

You will need 1 and a 1/2 half pound of clay to make it to scale. Or you can up or downsize it. You will also need paint, pottery paints works fine but I recommend gloss paint to make it shiny and smooth.

First I had to decide what shape and details I wanted to add to my candy monster. I sketched it out and then I was ready. I grabbed some clay and started to shape my monster. I started out with an oval pinch pot, then I added its tale. After that, I added the eyes and the tongue. Finally, I attached some spikes on its back and it was ready to bake. Bake at 400 Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes.

Now that my candy monster was done baking I was ready to paint. I got out my colors and got started. I wanted my monster to look fun and playful so I picked two bright, popping colors( pink and blue). In some spots, I used white and black like for the eyes. Once I was done I popped it in the oven for a while longer and soon it was done. My candy monster was complete and ready to eat! Now I store my candy in it (like skittles) and it looks great in my room! I just hope that it does not eat all my candy.
