Classic Tux Chocolate Strawberries

Chocolate and strawberries are a classic match. So why not dress them up a bit, literally! These things are so cute, you might actually spend a few seconds looking at them before you eat them...

You Need:

All the ingredients you need are milk or dark chocolate, white chocolate, and strawberries.

Simple, no?

Melt the Chocolate

Start with the white chocolate, and melt it in a double boiler.  Also lay down a layer of tinfoil to set the chocolate strawberries on to harden.

First Dip

Pull the leaves back from the strawberry.  These work well to use as something to hold on to while dipping. Dip only one side in the chocolate. Set chocolate side up to set.

Second Dip

Take your strawberry and dip the non-covered side in chocolate. Rotate as you do this so that you create a V in the front.

I found using a fork for this step worked really well. Dip the tip of the prongs on the chocolate, and then tap onto the strawberries.

As a final hint, I always poor the hot water from the boiler into the chocolate bowls to help clean them off.

Cuteness!
