Classic BLT
So this is a BLT recipe that I made because my teacher had us do this for an assignment, which jokes on him I took cooking class, (which actually doesn't change things because you use minimal cooking skills in this), but this is just an easy to make sandwich if you are in a hurry.
Supplies
All you are going to need is: 1/2 of a tomato, 2 pieces of leftover bacon, 2 pieces of bread, and 2 leaves from a romaine heart. You will also need a knife, a cutting board, a plate and a toaster/ toaster oven.
Cutting the Vegetables/ Fruit
So you are going to want take your half tomato and cut it into about six equal slices and set them at the top right corner of your cutting board, then you will take your romaine hearts and slice them as slim as you want leaving out the spine. I prefer them to be in shreds so that you don't accidentally rip out half the slice of lettuce on your first bite, but if you prefer it to be in strips then you do you fam.
Toast the Bread
So next you're gonna go get that bread (not money bread but the actual bread) and put it in a toaster until it gets golden brown lines on it but not too browned to the point where it's burnt. I don't have an actual time because there are a lot of different kinds of toasters and toaster ovens, so just keep an eye on the bread, mine took about 1:30-2:00 in a toaster oven. Just do not burn it or you're gonna have to re-do or eat burnt bread. (If you like burnt bread then I'm sorry you are wack)
Cutting the Bacon
So now you are going to need to cut the two pieces of leftover bacon in half as equal as possible (I'm not exactly Gordon Ramsay, 1 semester of cooking class isn't exactly a cooking masterclass so no judgement if they aren't perfectly halved) then set them aside for the next step.
Assembling the Sandwich
So in assembling the sandwich you can do it different ways but I to go lettuce, tomato, and bacon on top so that the bread doesn't get soggy from the tomato juice. It is also good to spread out the tomatoes all across the bread so there can be an equal amount in each bite. You also will want to lay all 4 pieces of bacon across the bread equally for the same reason. You want the lettuce, tomato, and bacon all on the same slice of bread. .Now here comes the optional part, mayonnaise I personally hate it but you never know some people like it, so if you want to use it then take a little bit and make an even spread across the slice of toast with nothing on it. Now if you don't want mayo on it then just place the second slice of bread on top making sure it face the same direction. Now go ahead and eat it or pack it for a later meal, I don't really care just good job making it this far, and hopefully you enjoy your sandwich.
