Clamp Light Made From Old Parts

1.jpg

I needed a quick solution for the poor lighting in my garage until I decide to tackle the project of update/upgrade that. So I got the idea to make a light I could plug in from the broken lamp I had in the garage.

Supplies

The Parts:

Broken Lamp

Old Clamp

The Tools:

Drill Or Drill Press

Drill Bit

Collect Your Parts

First step I did was round up all my parts and make sure everything still worked. I just plugged the lamp in to make sure it still worked so I wouldn't do this work for nothing.

Drill Your Hole

After making sure I was set to start I removed the rubber cover from the one side of the clamp and drilled a hole big enough for just the threaded base of the lamp and not the neck of the lamp.

Secure Your Lamp to the Clamp

This point I threaded the lamp and cord in the whole and secured everything with and washer and nut

Now I'm finished I can clamp this light anywhere a plug allows me and work with good lighting.
