Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal

First I would like to start out by saying I'm a poor college student and those circumstances are what led me to invent this. I did however, discover that the cinnamon apple oatmeal that I created is incredibility cheap (I was stuck with food from a local pantry) and quite tasty.. also it is quick and easy because I'll be the first to admit that I'm lazy and unless my wonderful girlfriend comes over to cook for me, I'm totally going to use the microwave..

You will need some plain dry oatmeal, some cinnamon applesauce, a microwave safe bowl, a working microwave, and a clean spoon for this project...

Get the Oatmeal Together...

This step is pretty simple. First, get your microwave safe bowl and fill it about a third of the way up with dry oatmeal. Next, add water.. but not too much, I have found the best results came from the oatmeal being kind of a mushy dry texture after it was done cooking. Which brings us to the final task of putting the mixed oatmeal in the microwave, setting it for 2 minutes then waiting for it to finish.

Mixing the Apple Sauce...

Ok, now you should have ended up with what looks and feels like a kinda mushy, yet kind of dry... mess. First, stir the oatmeal really well, then create a pit in the middle of the bowl with the oatmeal being pushed up against the sides of the bowl. Next, add a hefty chunk of your cinnamon applesauce in the middle of the pit created earlier and stir the mess you have in front of you very thoroughly making sure all of the oatmeal is mixed and soaked in applesauce..

Eating the Applesauce Oatmeal...

After you have rigorously mixed your oatmeal, the coldness of the applesauce should have cooled everything down to an almost tolerable temperature, but you may want to let it sit for a minute or so to let the oatmeal soak up as much of the applesauce as possible... I don't think I have to explain what to do next,I will tell you that you may want to grab a spoon ... Enjoy!

P.S. I almost forgot, sugar can improve the sweetness of the oatmeal, I personally don't use it, but if you like you're dishes sweet than adjust accordingly!
