Okay everybody, I'm just going to get down to it...these cookies are delicious. They are not the average, run of the mill sugar cookies. Nope, we put a spin on them..literally (sorry, that was pretty lame). The cookies smell and taste just like cinnamon buns, and have become a family favorite and a staple for all family gatherings.

I hope you enjoy these cookies as much as we do.

First you are going to need to pre-heat the oven to 375ºF.

Now, in a large bowl, mix the cookie mix and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Stir in the butter and egg until a soft dough forms.

Scoop and Press

On some wax paper, using 1 tablespoon of cinnomon make a line that is about 5 inches long.

Make your fingers floury, and shape about 1 tablespoon of dough into a rope that is 5 inches long as well.

Next press one side of the dough rope into the cinnamon.

Almost Time to Bake

Using an ungreased cookie sheet, coil your dough rope tightly, with the cinnamon side facing towards the center.

Press the end of the rope into the coil to seal it.

Just repeat this with the remaining dough ropes, and make sure to space the cookies about 2 inches apart on the cookie sheet.

Bake

Let your cookies bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until the edges are a light golden brown.

Let them cool for about a minute and remove them from the cookie sheet to a cooling rack or plate.

Then let the cookies cool completely for about 15 minutes.

Now for the best part...

In a small bowl, mix the glaze ingredients until it is a smooth mixture.

Then using a spoon, pu the icing into the sandwich bag and cut a small hole in the bag so its like a pastry bag; drizzle over the cookies.
