Have you ever wanted to eat organs? I hope not, but with this easy recipe you can do just that! Make a tasty Halloween treat that takes only 13 minutes to bake!

Supplies

To make these horrifying cinnamon roll intestines, you will need:

  1. 3 Packs of cinnamon rolls each containing 8 cinnamon rolls and 1 container of icing (A total of 24 cinnamon rolls and 3 icing containers)
  2. Red food coloring (Enough for 80 drops or 4 mL)
  3. Chocolate syrup (2 teaspoons)
  4. A 9 in. by 14 in. cake pan

Unroll Cinnamon Rolls

Once you have all of your supplies out, you can begin by unrolling your cinnamon rolls. Feel free to lay them over each other and squiggle them in all different shapes and forms, make it look like organs! Note that not all of the cinnamon rolls have been unrolled in the picture provided, fill the pan completely.

Put All Icing in One Cup or Bowl

Now that you have your organs layed out, it is time to prepare our blood! We'll wait to color it until the cinnamon rolls are in the oven, but for now, put all of the icing in a decently sized cup or bowl.

Bake Cinnamon Rolls

Now that we have our organs layed out and our icing ready to turn into blood, it is time to bake. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Once that is finished, put the cake pan containing the cinnamon rolls into the oven and let it bake for 13 minutes. After 13 minutes, you can take the cake dish out of the oven. In the meantime, you can start turning your icing into blood.

Make Blood

Now that your cinnamon rolls are in the oven, we can finally make the icing look like blood. Add 80 drops (4 mL) of red food coloring into the cup/bowl of icing. Mix together until it is a consistent red. If it is still a pink color, feel free to add more red food coloring. Once the red food coloring is mixed in, add 2 teaspoons of chocolate syrup to the cup/bowl of icing. Mix the chocolate syrup in. Note that the chocolate syrup is acting as a base, so it is okay if the icing isn't brown as it shouldn't be.

Take Cinnamon Rolls Out of Oven, Drizzle Icing

Once your cinnamon rolls have finished baking for 13 minutes, take them out of the oven. Then, use a spoon to drizzle icing over the cinnamon rolls until it is mostly covered.

Enjoy!
