Cinnamon Protein Pancakes
I created this easy and delicious recipe because I wasn't eating enough protein and I wanted something I could eat for breakfast that would fill me up for a while.
Gather Ingredients and Supplies
1 package of pancake mix
1 large egg
1 cup of milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
Bowl
Large spoon
Nonstick cooking spray
Frying pan
Spatula
Combine Ingredients
Combine 1 package of pancake mix, 1 large egg, 1 cup of milk, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons of cinnamon, and 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder into a bowl.
Mix Ingredients
Mix your ingredients together with a large spoon until little to no clumps are visible.
Preheat Stove Burner
Preheat stove burner on low-medium heat for 5-10 minutes so that pancakes will cook evenly.
Pour Batter Into Pan
Place frying pan on stove burner, spray pan with nonstick cooking spray to prevent batter from sticking (or you can use butter if you prefer) and pour batter into pan to your desired size.
Cooking Time
Let batter cook for 3 - 4 minutes, or until golden brown, before flipping to other side.
Flip It Over
Flip the pancake over after 3 - 4 minutes and let it cook for 2 - 3 minutes or until golden brown.
Cook and Repeat
Repeat steps 5 - 7 until all pancake batter has been cooked. Number of pancakes varies depending on size of pancakes made.
Eat Up!
Once you've finished cooking your pancakes, plate them and top them with whatever you like! (I used powdered sugar and maple syrup in the picture)
