Cinder Cone Volcano Cake

These will be the steps on how to make a delicious cinder cone volcano cake! :)

These ingredient you will need are:

Supplies

You will need:

  • Green Icing
  • Orange Melting Chocolate
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup of Vegetable Oil
  • 1 1/4 Cups of Water
  • Sour Punch Candy
  • Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
  • Rich and Creamy Milk Chocolate

Preheat Your Oven

First, you will need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mix Ingredients Needed for the Cake

Mix Cake Mix, water, oil, and eggs in a large bowl. After mixing the ingredients pour into a fluted cake pan.

Bake the Cake

Slide the cake into the oven and leave it in between 30-45 minutes. Be sure to check on the cake as it bakes in the oven!

Take Cake Out of the Oven

Take your baked cake out of the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

Flip Your Cake!

Once it is cooled down flip the fluted pan over to make it sit up like a volcano.

Icing Time!

You will use your rich and creamy chocolate icing and spread it onto the cake. Be sure that it looks smooth!

Begin the Lava Process

Grab your orange melting chocolate. Pour into a bowl. Put it into the microwave for 1 minute.

Hot Lava!!

CAUTION: The "lava" can very hot!

Pour the melting chocolate into a Ziploc baggy. Cut a corner off and spread the "lava" on your cake.

Outline the Lava and More!

Stick Sour Patch candy in the volcano and around the lava. The amount varies depending on how many you would like to use!

Add Some Grass to Your Volcano

Use your green icing to surround your volcano to set the scene!
