Wash the Vegetables

Thoroughly wash and any vegetables you plan on including in the sandwich. A colander works well.

Slice the Bread

Depending on the shape of your loaf you may want to slice the bread horizontally or vertically. The bread in this photo is sliced horizontally, leaving the crisp bread texture exposed on the outside.

Spread the Spread

Evenly spread a spread of your choice across one or two of the inward faces of bread. Miracle whip is used in this demonstration. Tomato paste and cream cheese also make a good combination.

For the Turkey

Place a quarter to a half inch of sliced turkey on one of the slices of bread.  Folding the turkey slices will give the sandwich more dimension.

Spinach on Top

Put several spinach leaves on top of the turkey.

Close the Sandwich

Place the bare slice on top of the spinach. Eat before it gets warm.
