Christmas Teddybear (sorry, He’s Late!)

Christmas is over I know... but you have a whole year to try and make your own Christmas teddy bear! You just have to follow those easy steps (easy if you already practice crocheting). If you liked it and want to see my other amigurumis, this is my Instagram.

Abbreviations :

sc = single crochet

inc = 2 sc in the next stitch

dec = single crochet 2 stitches together

Supplies

- 6mm safety eyes

- 2,5mm crochet

- Fiberfill

- Sewing needle

- Scissors

- Brown yarn

- White yarn

- Red yarn

- Fluffy white yarn

- Little paper present/box of 2 x 2 x 2 cm

- A white pompom

Optional: Wooden base of 6 x 6 x 2 cm

Make the Muzzle With White Yarn

Row 1: Magic ring 6sc (6)

Row 2: 6 inc. (12)

Fasten off. Embroid the nose and the mouth with a brown or black thread

Make the Head With the Brown Yarn

Row 1: Magic ring 6 sc (6)

Row 2: 6 inc. (12)

Row 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (18)

Row 4: (2 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (24)

Row 5: (3 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (30)

Row 6: (4 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (36)

Row 7: (5 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (42)

Row 8-13: 42 sc (42)

Row 14: (5sc, 1 dec) x 6 (36)

Row 15: (4sc, 1 dec) x 6 (30)

Row 16: (3sc, 1 dec) x 6 (24)

Row 17: (2sc, 1 dec) x 6 (18)

Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew to the body. Fill it with fiberfill.

Sew the muzzle between row 9 and 13 and place the eyes between row 9 and 10 around the muzzle.

Make the Body With the Brown Yarn

Row 4: (2 sc, 1 inc) x 6 (24)

Row 7 - 11: 36 sc (36)

Row 12: (4 sc, 1 dec) x 6 (30)

Row 13: (3 sc, 1 dec) x 6 (24)

Row 14: (2 sc, 1 dec) x 6 (18)

Row 15: 18 sc (18)

Fasten off and fill it with fiberfill.

Sew it to the head.

Make Two Back Paws With the Brown Yarn:

Row 3-7: 8 sc (8)

Fasten off and Sew them to the body

Make the Hat With the Red Yarn

Fasten off. Take your fluffy white yarn and crochet around Row 13 (once or twice as you prefer. Personally, I did it twice to create more volume on the edge of the hat, but it depends on how fluffy is your yarn)

Sew the white pompom (you can make one yourself) to the top of the hat

Make Two Ears With the Brown Yarn

Row 2: (2 sc, 1 inc) x 2 (8)

Row 3-4: 8 sc (8)

Fasten off and sew them between the row 10 and 11 of the hat

(Optional)

Glue your Teddybear to the wooden base and the present between his two arms.
