Christmas ornament made using laser cutter at TechShop.

Need:
piece of ClipArt or image
2.5" x 3" x 1/4" Acrylic or similar (I used a piece of scrap)
6-8" piece of string or ribbon

Plan It Out

Choose your clipart or image.
Start up laser cutter.
Import your image to Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw.
Scale up or down to fit your piece or Acrylic.
Add an ellipse around the image and a hole at the top. Both need to be cut lines.

Cut It Out

'Print' your picture to the laser cutter.
remove the protective paper after the laser cutting.

Finishing Touches

Feed the string through the new hole at the top and tie a knot.
