Christmas Hats (Yarn)

This is an Instructable on how to make Christmas ornaments out of yarn.
Gather Required Material

Items needed...
- Yarn
- Paper towel role
- Scissors
- Ruler
Step 1: Measuring

Cut your paper towel roll into 3/4" strips. Mark your cuts the length of the roll.
Step 2: Cutting

Now that you have marked your role, cut it on the lines you marked in the previous step.
Step 3: Measuring (Yarn)

Now get your yarn (any color you want) and measure out 32 11" strands. In our case we used 16 orange and 16 white.
Step 4: Preperation

Now take your strands of yarn and lay them in a tear drop shape.
Step 5: Tying

Grab one strand at a time and stick one end through the role. Then tuck the open end through the bottom of the yarn and pulling it snug.

Step 6:

If done right your strand of yarn should look like the picture above.
Step 7: Repeat

After learning to tie the individual stands to the role, repeat in a pattern of your choice.
Step 8: Tucking It Through

Once you have all the strings in the pattern you want tuck them all through the center.
Step 9: Tie It Together

Use your left over string to tie the ends together and make the loop to hang it with.

Finished product is a cute inexpensive Christmas ornament that anyone can make.
