Prepare the Cookies
Once you have gathered the necessary ingredients, begin by taking the pre-cut cookies and placing them on the cookie sheet about two inches apart. While doing this, don't forget to set the oven to the appropriate temperature given on the cookie package.
It's Baking Time!
Once your oven is preheated, carefully place the cookie sheet in the center of the oven rack and bake them cookies for 8-9 minutes. Be sure to check on them throughout the cooking schedule as oven times may vary.
Cool Those Cookies!
Once the cookies are fully cooked, use an oven mitt to carefully remove them from the oven. Turn off the oven and place the cookie sheet on a safe surface. Then, leave the cookies to cool for at least 10 minutes.
Pair the Cookies
Once the cookies have had time to cool down, pair the desired amount of cookies into groups of 2 and get ready to ice these delicious deserts!
Ice the Cookies!
Now that the cookies have been cooled and paired, it is time to ice them! Start by taking one of the pairs into your hand. Then take the spreading knife and gather a cookie-sized dollop of icing to gently spread on the underside of one of the cookies. Next, place the other cookie's underside to the icing and press the cookies together, creating a cookie sandwich!
Sprinkles!
After all the cookies have been iced and sandwiched, it is time to add the festive sprinkles. Begin by selecting your preferred sprinkles and pouring a small pile of them onto the cookie sheet. Then take one of the cookie sandwiches and gently roll the edges through the pile so that the sprinkles stick to the icing. Repeat this process with the remaining sandwiches and the Christmas cookies are done!
Finally, ENJOY!
Now that you have successfully made simple Christmas cookie sandwiches, kick back and enjoy these rich and scrumptious treats!
