IMG_9844.JPG

This project is an easy to make Chrismas themed wall clock. The one shown is spray painted only one color however, you can paint and/or decorate any way you choose Attached are a PDF and DXF file. You don't need much - a rigid board of some type, hardwood or poster board or for those with those who have a laser of metal cutter, many other options are available. OK, well its not hard to make if you have patience, but it is a rewarding project that can last for many years.

Verify your shaft length based on the material thickness you are using but the one listed above should be sufficient for most projects.

Paint or decor of your choosing as you prefer.

You may want a clear coat but not necessary.

Use the attached DXF or PDF files to either upload into your CAD/CAM software OR print off the DXF file at full scale and attach this to your material that is being cut to use as an outline. A scrollsaw or other tools will assist in the cutting of the material.

Once you have the clockworks - its relatively straight forward, mount the clock works with the shaft thru the center hole and set the nut and attach the hands. Make sure you have the correct hole size before you paint to ensure you don't have to go back and modify. Add the battery and you should be good to go!
