Chocolatetown Chip Cookies Recipe

I made some delicious heavily chocolatey cookies. This recipe I use all the time and it's my personal favorite.
Supplies

All Items I Used:
Ingredients:
- 1½ sticks of unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup of brown sugar (packed)
- ½ cup of granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanvilla extract
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups of chocolate chips
Materials:
- stand up electric mixer with paddle attachment
- hand-held electric mixer
- medium size bowl
- oven
- cookie sheet
- parchment paper
- silicone spatula
- 1 measuring teaspoon
- 1 measuring cup
- butter knife (for the butter)
- oven mitts
- tooth pick(s)
Cream the Butter and Sugar

First of all, preheat the oven to 375°F
Then, get out and plug in the stand up mixer and put the paddle attachment on.
Drop the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar into the bowl of the stand up mixer.
Next, on low speed, turn the mixer on and mix the ingredients.
You can use the spatula to push the ingredients in the middle if they get stuck on the sides.
If the mixture is taking a while, you can up the speed until the ingredients are fully creamed together.
Add Wet Ingredients

Transfer the mixture into the medium bowl.
Next, take out the hand-held mixture and plug it in.
Then, crack the eggs and drop them into the bowl with the mixture and pour the vanilla extract in as well.
Now, turn on the mixer at a medium speed and mix in the eggs and vanilla extract.
Add Dry Ingredients

Pour the flour, baking soda, and salt into the mixture.
Next, mix these ingredients at a medium speed until a dough is formed in the bowl.
Then, Add the chocolate chips and mix again.
Now the cookie dough is ready.
Assembling the Cookies

Get out the cookie sheet and rip/cut an appropriately sized piece of parchment paper to fit right over the cookie sheet.
Next, form a ball of cookie dough about the size of baby apple.
Then, place this on the cookie sheet and flatten it down a bit.
Finally, repeat this until all the dough is used and make sure you leave at least 2 inches between each cookie.
You'll probably need to do multiple batches but I recommend to only do one tray in the oven at a time.
Baking the Cookies

Grab the cookie sheet with the cookies and slide it into the preheated oven.
Close the oven and set a timer for (at least) 10 minutes.
You'll know when the cookies are ready if you insert a toothpick into the center of one and it comes out clean.
(Then, do the same thing with the second batch but with less time [roughly 8 minutes] if you made one)
When they're done, take them out of the oven, turn off the oven, and enjoy!
I recommend to let them cool for at least 5 minutes before eating.
