Chocolate and Semolina Halwa



Chocolate and Semolina Halwa Recipe is an Indian style semolina pudding recipe with twist of chocolate. I am sure your kids gonna love it and will ask for making it again and again. You can make this delicious Chocolate and Semolina Halwa on kids gatherings or as a treat to them when they return from playtime
Supplies
Sooji (Semolina/ Rava) – 1 cup
Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoon
Sugar - 1 cup
Ghee - ¼ Cup
Green Cardamom Powder (Elaichi) - 1/2 teaspoon
Hot water, as required
Mixed nuts - Sliced (almonds and cashewnuts) and Raisins
Roast Semolina Until Color Changes





To begin making Chocolate and Semolina Halwa Recipe, Heat ghee in a kadai. Once the ghee melts, add semolina and roast till it starts giving a nice aroma and the color changes to light golden brown.
Add Cocoa Powder


Add cocoa powder. Mix it well.
Adding Water



Now add the hot water slowly and keep stirring the halwa.
Adding Sugar and Green Cardamom Powder




Add sugar and green cardamom powder and mix well.
Add Cashewnuts and Raisins



Once the sugar mixes completely, cover the kadai and let the halwa simmer for 2 more minutes. Now add sliced cashewnuts and raisins and mix well. Turn off the flame.
Ready to Serve

Now transfer the halwa into a serving bowl and garnish halwa with the sliced almonds and serve hot.
Tip
If you want, you can garnish with chocolate chip too.
