First take digestives in a zip lock bag and crush them with the use of a rolling pin. Do not crush them finely, some bits of chunks will be great. After crushing is done, keep it aside.

Preparing Binding Mixture

In a pan over low heat melt butter. Once butter melts, add sugar, cocoa powder and golden syrup to it. Give it a stir and let it come to a boil. Once you see bubbles forming on the sides and it's about to come to a boil, turn off heat and remove it from stove.

Making the Base

Pour the mixture in crushed biscuits and mix them very well. Finally add raisins and give it a final mix. In a parchment or foil lined dish pour in the mixture. Using a spatula first press the mixture to remove air pockets and help it settle. Then use a spoon to press the mixture harder to help it stick to the dish. Once levelling is done, keep it in the refrigerator for around 15 minutes to set.

In the meantime, in stove over double boiler, melt chocolate in low heat. Once chocolate melts, take it off from the heat. Pour chocolate mixture on set biscuit base. Using a spatula, level chocolate layer. Once done, keep in the refrigerator to set nicely.

Cut and Serve

After everything is set, take out and cut into desired size. I have made triangles which is how you get them in cafes. You can do squares. If there is a party, you might wanna do little bite sized, I'm sure they will look lovely.
