youtube-thumb-sundae.jpg

Summer has officially begun in our town however, we have tons of birthday's coming up this season. So, a few months ago, we made a recipe for, Chocolate Sundae Cupcakes--which by the way was a huge hit at a summer party we threw. With that being said, we're bringing it back to satisfy your sweet tooth and enjoy the best of both worlds. There's literally no ice cream here, but the ingredients combined tastes just like it is--amazing. Let's begin.

Drop in 2 eggs, however, watch the video above for the proper way to add :)

[ mix well and set aside ]

Whisk together, 1 1/4 cups of All-Purpose Flour, 1/2 cup of Cocoa Powder, and finally 1 tsp of Salt.

Now bring back over the wet ingredients, we'll be alternating between the dry one we just did, and 1 cup of Milk. Watch video for demonstration.

Preheat Your Oven to 350 Degrees

Mix well, until their are no lumps left-- so much easier with a cake mixer.

One More Step Left for the Cupcake Mix

csc7.jpg

In a small bowl, mix 1 1/2 tsps of Red Wine Vinegar, and 1 1/2 tsps of Baking Soda--now watch that thing bubble like you're mixing up potion or something. Once you see the magic, dump it right on in and mix well.

csc8.jpg

Now, lightly spray your cupcake pan, and add the mix. Make sure to not overflow! And then stick it in the preheated oven for about 18 to 20 minutes or so, or until there's no more goo left. This really depends on your stoves temperature so start watching it around the 15 min mark. And remember to use a toothpick as your guide.

Hot Fudge Ingredients

csc9.jpg

While that's baking, let's made the fudge. In a small pan, on low heat, mix together:

  • 1 tbsp of Butter
  • 1/2 bag of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/3 cup of Heavy Cream

The cupcakes should be done, please remove them from the pan for additional cooling.

-- Be careful, their still pretty hot.

Icing Ingredients

csc11.jpg

For the icing, cream together:

  • 1 pack of Cream Cheese, softened
  • 4 tbsps of Butter
  • 1/3 cup of Heavy Cream
  • 4 cups of Powdered Sugar

Toppings (Icing First)

csc12.jpg

Once the cupcakes aren't hot anymore, add the icing. You can use what I used, or try a spoon to swirl it around.

Additional Toppings

csc13.jpg

Once the icing is on, why not top them off with some chopped Hazelnuts, Hot Fudge, Sprinkles, and a Cherry. It really doesn't matter what order you do this in, just make sure that the cherry is put on last. We show in the video above how to add :)!
