Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies
Here is one of our favorite cookie recipes. Fast, simple, and delicious!
Supplies
Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter or margarine
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 2 cups flour
• 2/3 cup cocoa
• 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups peanut butter butter chips
Cream Butter and Sugar
Dump the butter into a mixing bowl and add the sugar of your choice (we used raw sugar). Blend well.
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Next, add the eggs and vanilla. If you are using vanilla extract, use less than if you are using vanilla flavoring.
Pro tip: To make sure that no egg shell pieces get in, you can crack them into a separate bowl and pick out any pieces.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, thoroughly mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. White flour will work the best, but whole wheat flour also works.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Next, add the blended sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs to the bowl of dry ingredients. With a large spoon, stir until you have a smooth, dark brown batter.
Now is a good time to preheat your oven to 350° F.
Add Peanut Butter Chips
Pour the peanut butter chips into the batter and stir until they are mixed in evenly.
Note: You can use chocolate chips instead of peanut butter chips for double chocolate chip cookies.
Scoop Batter
Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop the batter onto a cookie sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
Bake
Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes. Better slightly under-baked than over-baked. Let them cool for a minute. Then place the cookies on a wire rack to finish cooling.
Enjoy!
