Preheat oven to 190oC [Gas Mark 5, 375oF].
Line baking sheets with parchment.

Melt the butter in non-metallic mixing bowl in a microwave oven, add the sugars and mix well with a wooden spoon.

Break the egg and add to the above ingredients with the vanilla and again mix until well blended.

Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into the mixture and stir in.  Then add the chocolate chips and stir again until the chocolate chips are evenly distributed.

Place heaped dessert spoonfuls of the mixture well spaced on the cookie sheets.  Press a kebab stick firmly into each cookie - making it a "stookie"

Bake the stookies for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown, then remove the trays carefully from the oven.

Allow the stookies to cool & harden on the parchment before moving them to a cooling rack to finish cooling - if you can wait that long!

Eat Them!

Now you can eat & enjoy your stookies without getting chocolate all over your fingers.

They may be hard to get in your mouth all at once!
