Hello everyone!

If you are craving a chocolaty treat, this is the perfect place for you to be!

This is a recipe for chocolate chip muffins that I discovered a few weeks ago, but I made some changes to it to make it even better! This recipe makes 12 muffins, but you can double it or even triple it if you want to; I've been tripling it because we have a big family, but anyway, you can make as many as you want!

Ok, let's get started!

Supplies

  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 & 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 & 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 tbsp melted unsalted butter, cool for 5 minutes
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract

Let's Mix! Part 1

Once you have all your ingredients gathered together, you're going to want to separate the dry ingredients from the wet ingredients.

First, we're going to add all dry ingredients in a large bowl, save 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips for a step later on.

Then, we mix the dry ingredients. When mixing these ingredients, do it very gently, so you don't mash the chocolate chips. Once you're done mixing, set aside.

Let's Mix! Part 2

Now, it's time for the wet ingredients!

Add all wet ingredients into a mixing bowl.

Then, mix them together using a whisk.

Let's Combine Everything!

Time to combine all ingredients together! We're getting closer to the best part, eating them!

For this step, you're going to want to carefully dump the dry ingredients into the mixing bowl with the wet ingredients.

Put your mixer on the lowest setting and mix until the ingredients are combined well.

Next, put a towel over the mixture and let sit for 15 minutes; this will help the muffins get the dome shape on the top.

Let's Scoop!

While the mix is sitting for 15 minutes, you'll want to preheat your oven to 425°F. Also, while you are waiting, prepare your muffin pan with 12 paper linings and grab a scoop to use (I use a cookie dough scoop).

Once the 15 minutes is up, use a scoop and put one full scoop in each paper lining, this should make 12 muffins.

Then, take the 1/2 cup of chocolate chips you saved and sprinkle them on each muffin.

Let's Bake!

Getting even closer to eating them!!

Once your oven is done reheating, you can put the muffins in there for 7 minutes. After the 7 minutes is up, turn the oven down to 350°F without opening the oven. Then, bake the muffins on 350°F for about 25 minutes. After they're done baking, let them cool for 10 minutes and then put them on a cooling rack if you want to.

Yay, now we get to eat them!
