Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars

Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars are great for parties, get togethers or just for family. It easy and fun to make for all ages, it just requires three ingredients.

Supplies

  • Two 16.5 oz rolls of raw Pillsbury chocolate chip cookie dough
  • Two (8 oz) packages of Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • A 13 x 9 pan with a lid
  • Non-stick spray
  • 1 cup measuring cup
  • Oven
  • Oven mitts
  • Electric mixer
  • Timer
  • Plastic Spatula scraper
  • Tooth picks

Mixing the Cream and Preparing the Oven

Place the two 8 oz packages of soft Philadelphia cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar into the mixing bowl.

Put the pretzel mixer onto the rotator.

Lower the top before locking it into place.

Turn the mixer on at the 4th speed.

While the cream and sugar are mixing, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Preparing the Pan and Laying the Bottom

Take the 13 x 9 pan and spray the bottom and sides with non-stick cooking spray.

Take 1 and a half tubes of Pillsbury chocolate chip raw cookie dough and press it down until there is 1 1/4 inches on the bottom.

Put the Bars Together

Once the cream and sugar has become creamy, stop the mixer and lift the top up.

Remove the mixer bowl from the mixer and grab the plastic spatula scraper.

Put all of the cream cheese and sugar mixture into the pan on top of the cookie dough.

Spread the mixture evenly over the top.

Take the remaining cookie dough and put small chunks over the top of the cream cheese.

Cooking the Bars and Checking

Once the oven has preheated, place the pan into the oven and start the timer for 35 minutes.

After the timer goes off, put the oven mitts on and take the pan out of the oven.

Take a toothpick and stick it in the middle of one of the chunks.

If the toothpick comes out clean then turn off the oven and let the pan cool.

If unsure, stick the pan back into the oven for another 2 minutes.

Refrigerate the pan with a lid if the entire pan is not eaten within the first day.
