1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup or 2 sticks of butter softened
1-1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips
Equipment:
2 bowls to mix ingredients
Whisk
2 baking sheets
Cooling racks
Dry Ingredients
In a bowl combine your 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, and 1 tsp. salt. Also make sure to preheat your oven to 375°F.
Cream the Butter and Sugars
In a separate bowl add your 1 cup softened butter, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 3/4 cup packed brown sugar, and 1 tsp. vanilla extract . Beat this until creamy.
Add Eggs
Add each egg one at a time to the mixture of butter and sugar. Make sure to beat well with each addition.
Combine the Two Mixtures
Take your flour mixture and gradually add it to your other mixture. Stir as you are adding. When done stirring, add in your 1-1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips and mix until they are evenly spread out in your dough.
Baking
Use a normal sized spoon and place balls of cookie dough on a baking sheet. Make sure each cookie has enough room to bake. Place in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.
Cooling
Take your cookies out of the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes. Then transfer your cookies to a cooling rack to let them cool fully. Once cooled you can now enjoy your delicious cookies.
