Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough With No Risk of Food Poisoning
This is one of my family's favorite summer treats. We traditionally eat it by the spoonful on Independence Day, sitting outside on a blanket, watching fireworks. It is very soft, sweet, and hard to resist!
The recipe is very simple, making it a good choice for a child's first recipe. If you decide to bake it into cookies, which are also delicious, replace the milk with an egg and add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. Bake at 375 degrees Farenheit for 10 to 12 minutes.
The dough can be kept in the refrigerator for about a week, but is best when freshly made. This recipe makes enough for 4-6 people who aren't on a diet.
Supplies
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Toast the Flour
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread the flour over a cookie sheet and bake for 5 minutes. This should kill any germs. Set out on the counter to cool while you make the cookie dough.
